How TENOK handles your information

Effective September 3, 2026

Information we collect

TENOK collects your name, optional email address, optional mobile number, Oklahoma mailing address, preferred follow-up method, consent choices, and the dates of registration-assistance steps you report to us. Agreeing to postal reminders is optional.

Why we collect it

We use the information to provide nonpartisan voter-registration follow-up, send postal reminders only when you consent, and document participation for program administration and reporting. Only participants who opt in appear on TENOK’s protected mailing list.

What we do not collect

TENOK does not collect the date of birth, driver-license or state-ID number, Social Security digits, signature, party affiliation, or answers entered into Oklahoma’s voter-registration application. Registration checking and application submission happen only in the official OK Voter Portal.

Security and retention

Your name and contact information, including your mailing address, are encrypted with AES-GCM before being stored. Operational matching values are protected with keyed one-way hashes. Records are retained for up to two years for program reporting and follow-up unless you ask us to remove them earlier.

Your choices

You may Stop reminders and delete your saved contact information from the registration workflow in the same browser session. You can also contact TENOK to request removal. Withdrawing does not change any voter-registration record held by the State Election Board.

Important distinction

TENOK is not the Oklahoma State Election Board. Saving information with TENOK does not register you to vote and is not proof of registration. The official state portal and your County Election Board control voter-registration records.
